Due to the coronavirus pandemic, families face uncertainty related to health, finances and overall well-being. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) surveyed 2,695 people to understand the impact of COVID-19 on asthma and allergy communities. The survey revealed the reach of the virus, how families are protecting themselves and the challenges families face specific to asthma and allergies. AAFA will use the results to target communication, education and advocacy efforts.

Of the people surveyed:

  • 57% have asthma
  • 51% have a family member with asthma
  • 63% have allergies
  • 66% have a family member with allergies
