Grayson will be 3 at the end of July and we tend to take it easy with him. He started out breaking out in hives just being around the horses but has slowly built up a tolerance thankfully. He has his rescue inhaler that is always with us as well as his Epi-Pens for emergencies (he not only has environmental allergies but anaphylactic food allergies as well and was born with a PFO that hasn’t closed). He takes lots of baths to help soothe minor reactions and I have to force him to take breaks if he starts to overheat (he gets nosebleeds when he starts getting overheated), cough or wheeze. It’s hard to contain a 2 year old that would rather be outside with animals but we’ve managed for it to become our norm always being on the lookout and being proactive before things get out of control.

He has become vigilant on making sure his β€œbackpack” with his medicines are always with us and always takes his Flonase to help at night. He’s almost as proactive on trying to prevent emergencies as I am. It’s second nature to us all
