I was diagnosed with asthma and allergies within the past few months. I saw my primary care physician (PCP), a pulmonologist, and an allergist in March. All three prescribed albuterol and steroids. I now have a HEPA vacuum, air purifier, pillow, and mattress cover. My symptoms are off and on. I want fresh air and my A/C isn't very good. In the meantime, is it ok to open the windows for fresh air?
If you are allergic to pollen, you may want to avoid opening the windows during the high pollen season. With the right HVAC filters, running the A/C can help remove allergens.
