Is the COVID-19 vaccine safe for kids with food allergies?
The clinical trials for the Pfizer vaccine included 2,260 participants in the 12-15-year-old age range. The side effects in this group were generally the same as trial participants 16 years of age and older.
The CDC recommends the COVID-19 vaccine for people with food allergies since there are no food proteins in any of the vaccines, including the Pfizer COVID vaccine.
