The opening statement is such a powerful message, "it is important for everyone to exercise, even if you have asthma." These children are so engaged and in touch with their symptoms. It is great to hear them talking about the preventive measures they are taking in their daily lives; I love how we can all use technology now to help too - like an app to measure pollen counts and air quality days.
My daughter, Christia has been fighting asthma and allergies since she was 2 years old. She loves the outdoors! With her inhalers, nebulizer, Flonase and eye drops, nothing will stop us for doing what she loves. We got this girlie!!
What a wonderful story and testimony that with Asthma you can do what your heart desires. You are a champion Megan on so many levels and an inspiration to individuals with or without Asthma. I look forward to your next blog!
What an amazing and inspiring story! I have asthma and environmental allergies and am active-sometimes I have to limit my activities outside during certain months so I don’t go into a flare..happens too often for me but I try to keep my lungs in shape too! I keep trying to push myself.
That's great you persevere and push yourself while being smart about it @RSkalak ! It sounds like you've figured out what took me way too long to learn-- that exercise with asthma is a balancing act, but absolutely possible if you know how to manage your triggers. Best wishes in your active life!
