I'm severely allergic to peanuts and cannot use proair. Pro air is manufacture it on the line that has peanut contamination. Whereas ventilon isn't. I am on social security and I cannot afford that price. However maybe it's the part D drug plan you have. If you were to change up you might be able to get it covered. Or your doctor should be getting samples .my doc provides me with samples .
@Maxmakc , what does your allergist or asthma specialist recommend about salt therapy? Is it part of a complementary medicine treatment plan? AAFA has a great blog post talking about the differences between complementary medicine and alternative medicine . Glad the salt therapy works for you. I guess there's no one-size-fits-all for everyone who suffers from asthma.
I would just like to say I have been diagnosed with asthma along with copd and early stage emphysema.... What a lovely and wonderful way to celebrate Austin's life! My heart breaks for this family, but I am so amazed at how they have given Austin's life meaning. From one mother to another, thank you for turning your grief into action!

I've had to work with my doctor to make sure that my asthma is under control and work out an exercise pretreatment plan to make sure I don't trigger an attack. I've...
Hi Sue and welcome! Did the doc give you an asthma action plan on how to track your symptoms? Do your allergies trigger asthma? Do you have those controlled?
If you live in Texas and are concerned about these incidents, you can visit AAFA's Action Center to send a letter to your state legislators and the school district superintendents. Send a Letter to TX Legislators or the School Administrators
All things that are difficult to avoid! As for the asthma plan, I'd push back on the pulmonologist for one. If need be, print out the one on the site here and ask him to fill it out. No need to reinvent the wheel.

I think a sit down conference with the students involved, their parents, the medical staff at the school and the school administration to review the situation is what should have occurred. I do not advocate sharing medications at all; I am a pharmacist and am well aware of the problems with that. However, before we knew my daughter...
