Call to Action: Do Not Repeal the ACA without First Protecting Patients

Congress is moving forward to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) without a plan in place to ensure that Americans will continue to have access to the health insurance they need.

The ACA guarantees that people with chronic conditions have access to affordable health insurance, and Congress could take this away. This means our nation risks going back to a time when people with chronic conditions like asthma and allergies could be denied health insurance or forced to pay outrageous premiums or dropped from coverage just when they need it most.

TAKE ACTION NOW

AAFA needs your help now. Many lawmakers have begun the process to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Contact your members of Congress (your senators and representatives) and urge them to fight on behalf of you and all their constituents who depend on the Affordable Care Act.

Tell Congress not to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act until there is a guarantee that you will still have access to equal or better coverage.

How has the Affordable Care Act improved life for you or your loved ones? Please share your story and write a letter today.

So, if I fill out the form you send in a request to keep the AFA for me, with my information? No way! I didn't know the AAFA was a liberal site. I thought you were a neutral non-profit. I know more working people now without insurance because of the AFA. I now pay $1323.00 a month in premiums for a family of three. I used to pay half that. I personally hope and pray we find a better plan than the AFA. It's driving costs up and insurance companies out of business. The first year the US HAD RECORD TRANSPLANTS . This was because the uninsured now were and the recipients lined up. Each transplant costs hundreds of thousands. I am happy for them but what the AFA Created was a flood of sick people running up claims. When there are no more insurance companies or everyone has to drop theirs due to cost, the giovernment will have to step in and that will be the worst disaster. Talk about rationing, they can't run a DMV  efficiently, how will they run the largest industry in the nation? That's what they want.

Rant over. I'm very disappointed, disheartened and tired. So tired of no one caring about those of us trying and paying and getting further and further in the hole. It may not be that way but it feels like it. I cannot advocate for something that hurts so many.
