In part 4, Dr. M. Itch got a little worked up about these latest myths. So he went back to TikTok to answer more questions about asthma and allergies. Is asthma actually just a panic attack? Can you participate in P.E. class if you have asthma? Does Dr. M. Itch eat broccoli?

Don't forget to also watch our other myth-busting videos. Keep your eye on our AAFA blog and TikTok channel for more videos during National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month.

This myth got #drmitch a little worked up. #asthma is not a panic attack! #asthmaawareness #asthmatic #mythbusters

Asthma is a chronic disease that causes your airways to become inflamed (swollen). This makes it hard to breathe. There is no cure for asthma. But you can manage it by avoiding triggers, taking medicine to prevent symptoms, and preparing to treat asthma symptoms if they occur.

Don't let asthma be an excuse to avoid exercise! #asthmaawareness #asthma #asthmatic #drmitch #mythbusters #fypγ‚·

People with asthma can exercise. If exercise causes you to have asthma symptoms, you may have exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB). Some people also call it exercise-induced asthma. If you have EIB, you can prevent symptoms by taking quick-relief asthma medicine before exercising, doing a proper warm-up, covering your mouth in cold, dry weather, and watching your breathing before, during, and after exercise. If you suspect you have EIB, talk to a board-certified allergist.
