Training Patients with Asthma to Understand and Participate in Patient Centered Outcomes Research

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation is holding a training session for patients, parents and/or caregivers of people with asthma to learn about research. This training aims to teach patients, parents, and/or caregivers about the different types of research and how research can help people make future health care decisions.

In this interactive training, participants will learn about:

  • asthma management
  • clinical research and the clinical research process
  • patient centered outcomes research
  • how to become involved in research at different levels
  • how to read and understand research articles

The training is funded through the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

The training will be held from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, June 11th. Lunch with be provided and parking/transportation will be covered. Also, you will be given a gift card at the end of the session. You must be 18 or older to register for this training.
