More than 60 million people in the U.S. have asthma and allergies.

May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. This year (2019), our focus was on raising awareness about how asthma and allergies are more than just a physical condition. They impact every aspect of life. But they don't have to define you.

Together, we can work to overcome the challenges and burdens of asthma and allergies and help others better understand these conditions – in ways both big and small.

Thank you to everyone who shared their #morethanasthma photo to show how they overcome asthma barriers and live life fully. These photos help us dispel myths and misconceptions people have about asthma. Three winners were selected during May from all eligible photo entries.
