Managing for 8 years, managing well for about three years. Now age 16.

Misdiagnosed from ages 5-8. Finally diagnosed during a hockey game by an EMT and sent to asthma specialist. Recently played in my 500th ice hockey game. With proper maintenance and use of inhalers I am controlling asthma, not being controlled by it. Do what is recommended by your specialist, but especially put in the work. Work every day to be the best you can, exercise your lungs, live life to the fullest and always move forward.
