Ult1Mat3x, based on the link you had, I would suggest talking to your doctor and beginning your search with the Aeromax 300 . It's the only one on your list that is asthma & allergy friendly® CERTIFIED. The asthma & allergy friendly® Certification program helps people make informed purchases for a healthier home. The program tests household products against strict standards. If products pass certain tests, they earn the CERTIFIED asthma & allergy friendly® mark.

Hey there! Firstly, I have to mention that your article has been very insightful and helped me discover everything about pollution allergy . It has been rampant especially in our locality as a couple of new factories have come up recently. Lately, my husband has been showing symptoms caused due to air pollution. His continuous sneezing, nasal congestion, and itchy and red eyes have been my concern for pretty long. As you mentioned, I guess we will have to see an allergist at the earliest so...

Thanks, her asthma and allergies limit her a lot as far as what she can eat and the activities she does. She has however made huge strides into making sure she is able to now take a dance class a week when she pretreats.

I am in Oakland and the smoke was so bad here that I stayed indoors for a week, with the house sealed and the air purifier on. When asthma symptoms started, I would use acupressure points to prevent attacks from progressing. It works amazingly well.

Hi Kathy p. - we usually use a preventative for the week before and make sure that we don't stay in the cold too long. Often though we do end up having to do a treatment after we get home dur to the cold.

Thank you for sharing Debbie and thank you aafa for highlighting this importabt topic. I was just reading about a study done by USC in which the air pollution declined 20 percent over a 20 year period and it corresponded with a 20 percent decline in new cases of children's asthma-- which provides strong circumstantial evidence that reducing air pollution reduces illness. We are all sharing the air. I try very hard to limit travel to necessity only, drive a car with good gas mileage, and buy...

Having to go off meds for testing is miserable. I'm off antihistamines this weekend in preparation for more allergy skin testing next week. Let the begin! How did the challenge go? Do you have any tips for dealing with being off meds or for the challenge itself?

it's hard to win a legal case w/ severe mold infestations when civil court judges do not believe in toxic black mold causing human diseases. a nyc hpd housing court judge - JEAN T. SCHNEIDER threw out my foreclosure hearing WITHOUT EVEN HEARING STATEMENT FROM MY DEFENCE LAWYER - NOT onr SINGLE SENTENCE FROM MY LAWYER LAST WEEK.! all she wants are to close cases rapidly with no word from the defence ! scary-victims have no rights against her favorite big time landlords. My child was diagnosed with Cough-Variant asthma at the age of 2. She has been on steroids since then and she is 9 and she is only at 57 lbs. Right now she takes Advair 250/50 two puffs twice a day, singular and a nasal spray. She has had an allergy test completed and everything came back negative. We have to go back to the allergist in October. With her being negative on all 22 test, how do I go about protecting her. When she has a flare-up, we do her normal meds, treatments twice a day,...

Our family suffers from asthma triggered by fragrances and other chemicals. We are so happy you are informing people that wearing fragrance or products/clothing that emit fragrance are deadly for many people with asthma. We cannot go anywhere where we cannot leave if someone were to come in the room with "fragrance" known to be toxic chemicals. Most importantly, our hearts break for children who are trapped in a classsroom all day. Many laundry detergents/fabric softners emit persistent...

I’ve never thought of improving the air quality at my work because I don’t get the right support for anything so I didn’t bother asking. I don’t have food allergies but I have a lot of environmental allergies and I take Flonase, Zyrtec, Fluticasone, Eye drops, and Benadryl at night just to sleep. I’d probably be a great candidate for Xolair! I also have asthma. It’s been interesting to say the least!

Jade just started her first round of Xolair Injections this past week. She's SO brave! But...I have to admit...It was a bittersweet moment; watching her sit there, calm, asking the nurse to count slowly for her, watching the needle, as she was given both injections. Outside of respectfully saying that it "kind of hurt, a lot", she didn't complain, or cry, or move, or refuse, or scream...she just sat still and watched! As a mom, this was a like a dream come true...at first. [{Sidebar} At this...

Yes she pretreats but still has issues so outside doesn't work at all. She has been able to take a Dane class for 30 mins a week. Hoping the summer allows her to do two 1 hour sessions a week. Congratulations on your daughter's black belt. That's awesome. We are inspired.
