Love this sweet photo ... How do you manage environmental allergies and asthma when you guys are enjoying the great outdoors? We've got a discussion started called, "What do people say when you tell them you have asthma or allergies?" What tips would you add?
Grayson will be 3 at the end of July and we tend to take it easy with him. He started out breaking out in hives just being around the horses but has slowly built up a tolerance thankfully. He has his rescue inhaler that is always with us as well as his Epi-Pens for emergencies (he not only has environmental allergies but anaphylactic food allergies as well and was born with a PFO that hasn’t closed). He takes lots of baths to help soothe minor reactions and I have to force him to take breaks...
Way to go! How long has he been playing baseball? What position does he play? What sorts of things have you worked out with his coaches to help him play? We've got a discussion going on about what people say when you tell them that you or your kiddo has asthma ... what sort of reactions have you gotten?
WTG Clint! I'm still a noob MTBer and can't even imagine doing an ultra-endurance race! My biggest hurdle is getting through the first 20-30 min of riding (any exercise really) and then my lungs open up. Is there a certain point during your ride where your asthma kicks up? How do you get through that point?

Upload a photo of you, your child or family and caption the image that shows how you are unique and how you overcome obstacles that asthma puts in your way . Images will be added to our mosaic on our More Than...
Congratulations to our second #morethanasthma 2019 winner! Krystin describes herself as a "video game loving medical student who just so happens to carry an inhaler." Asthma has been a challenge for her, but she is determined to overcome it. "To me #morethanasthma means that I might have asthma but asthma doesn’t have me," Krystin says. "It means never letting asthma define who I am and always trying my best to not let asthma hold me back. I will always have to pace myself but I will never...
Congratulations to our third #morethanasthma 2019 winner! Kamille Rivers likes to help others with asthma see themselves as more than just a diagnosis. A self-described "petite plus-sized model," Kamille says, "My daughter Desi’rae and I are #morethanasthma because we stand strong, and we are fighters. I believe in staying healthy by eating all the proper foods and taking our medication daily." Kamille believes people can still maintain good health even with asthma. To spread that message,...
