It's the height of ragweed season in many areas, mold counts are rise as leaves start to fall, flu season starts, and kids head back to school and pass around respiratory viruses like colds. Also school buildings that have been closed all summer may have a build up of other allergens and irritants. All of these can be asthma triggers. Reading a real human story like this helps remind me to keep up that constant preparation no matter how good or bad I am feeling, for both myself, and also for my son who has food allergies. I carry a large backpack purse (sometimes I put it in a rolling bag because it is so heavy). It has all our emergency medicines in it. It has stayed with me, and I have tried to spread this warning to as many people as possible. No one can ever bring her back, my heart breaks for you.
