I have allergies and asthma. Reading a real human story like this helps remind me to keep up that constant preparation no matter how good or bad I am feeling, for both myself, and also for my son who has food allergies. I carry a large backpack purse (sometimes I put it in a rolling bag because it is so heavy). It has all our emergency medicines in it. It has gotten heavier over the years because I want to be prepared and have my inhalers (I always carry a backup of each), our epipens, an...
I have two children with asthma, and I heard about this tragedy right after it happened. It has stayed with me, and I have tried to spread this warning to as many people as possible. No one can ever bring her back, my heart breaks for you. But if it helps at all, please know that there are people out here who care ❤️

It so helps having advocates like you to spread these stories and educate others about the seriousness of asthma and allergies. With more education and awareness being made about triggers like September Asthma Peak Week , hopefully losses like these will lessen

COVID precautions in schools (masks, distancing, increased airflow) may help reduce some of...
We're glad you're here @Lizz . Welcome! Can you feel the approaching high season through pollens, mold, or things like return to school? I hope you'll share those ideas and how you deal with them in the Asthma Support forum too.
I’ve found that as a resident of NC, the storms that blow in this time of year affect my lungs as well. We just had cyclone 8 and I struggled every day last week up until it hit.
