File Comment❤️To control their asthma at school they use a Symbicort inhaler before they go to school. They carry their rescue inhaler with them in case it's needed during or after gym class.

Ventolin-type bronchodilator inhalers are always used in people experiencing significant "breathing problems" related to respiratory infections such as flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc., who don't have underlying respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, etc. Why would COVID-19 be any different? I hope every asthmatic has the medication they need. On my end, I have two new Teva-Salbutamol HFA inhalers (unused in the box) on hand as well as the Teva-Salbutamol HFA...

Blog Post CommentI offered to email it to my dr or nurse but they aren't interested. However, it helps me out because I can see how often I use my inhaler. Their app also lets me put in my other asthma meds that can't use the sensor and track those as well. I take Symbicort 2x a day and have set reminders as I was bad at remembering to use it and now, I use it 12 out of 14 times a week (those missed are usually on the weekends when I tend to sleep in and don't think about it).

Blog Post Comment❤️👍Last year I had to switch from Symbicort to Advair discus because my monthly copay for Symbicort had risen to almost $400, and my plan didn’t cover the generic. Advair generic was more affordable, about $200 monthly, but still expensive and beyond my means, so I started to get it not through my health insurance but through a drug discount plan that gets its meds from out of the country and takes about a month to get to me, but costs $125 for a three month supply.
