Marcia, that's a great question. I think that the replacement will help other things -- like the structural integrity of the pillow. After two years of sleeping on something like a pillow, it may not be offering you the best night's sleep.
The bedroom should be kept allergen and asthma trigger free. It may be difficult, but it is important to try! When we are lying down, our breathing problems often worsen. That is why we should have a clean and safe bedroom. We do need to get a good night of rest!
When I developed allergies from my dog, I went for a hunt to find ways to eliminate the dander. I invested in a purifier that is active not passive that eliminated the triggers from the air and and a water purifier that splits water alkaline/acidic. I use acidic water to bathe my dog. He will not drink any other kind of water other than alkaline water. He's the healthiest he has ever been, no doggy odor, he doesn't snore any more, we're both happy campers.
@ScttLee - That's a great point. Strong odors and fragrances trigger my asthma . These scents can make it difficult for me to breathe, especially in public places. This happened to me a few weeks ago. There was a group wearing strong colognes. I agree with you about asking to be moved, politely. But do it politely and be respectful of that person feeling.
If you are allergic to animals, I find I can usually negotiate a seat faaaarrrrr away from the pet and wear a Ffp3 mask for short flights (up to 2 hours). The aircrew needs to be aware of this and not permit the owners to take their pet out of its carry case during the flight to avoid hair/dander/saliva etc.floating around the cabin. For longer/trans-atlantic flights, I have checked with the airline ahead of time, from the day of reservation to the day before the trip, to find out if a pet...
I spent a few hours in the hospital 2 weeks ago after my Dr. sent me there from his office. Unable to breath and coughing up phlegm continuously. They started with a nebulizer and a steroid. Put me on 3 short term meds. I was at the point that my Fluticasone Propionate and Flovent were mot controlling my asthma. My Dr. has since put me on BREZTRI Aerosphere. and increased my O2. I was getting down to 76% O2 during sleep. Since changing inhaler, The lowest has been 98% without O2 (I forgot...
