Blog Post Comment@Maxmakc , what does your allergist or asthma specialist recommend about salt therapy? Is it part of a complementary medicine treatment plan? AAFA has a great blog post talking about the differences between complementary medicine and alternative medicine . Glad the salt therapy works for you. I guess there's no one-size-fits-all for everyone who suffers from asthma.

File Comment❤️Misdiagnosed from ages 5-8. Finally diagnosed during a hockey game by an EMT and sent to asthma specialist. Recently played in my 500th ice hockey game. With proper maintenance and use of inhalers I am controlling asthma, not being controlled by it. Do what is recommended by your specialist, but especially put in the work. Work every day to be the best you can, exercise your lungs, live life to the fullest and always move forward.

But...I have to admit...It was a bittersweet moment; watching her sit there, calm, asking the nurse to count slowly for her, watching the needle, as she was given both injections. File Comment❤️The school has a para assigned to her in the classroom. They follow her asthma plan to the T. Text me frequently. Check her pulse ox all the time (she has one she carries with her). Keep her out of physical activity when needed. They don't really give her any other accomodations. Not sure what they could. I agree that's a great idea. Not sure what is available. I know the school is very supportive. She doesn't have any allergies. She has had numerous allergy panels and they have checked her...

Blog Post Comment@KathyP I recently had issues cutting potatoes where I got itchy hands and a rash and hives up my hands , neck and chest . Doctor thinks that it’s the oral allergy syndrome strikes again with the grass and ragweed as main culprit . You remember the incident with the tomatoes ? She said there in the same family so it would make Sense . Also I’m seeing a Gastro specialist for some tests and he said when your digestive system is inflamed the more likely you can have these bizarre allergy attacks .

Blog Post CommentHey Ben - that's interesting that raw potatoes are causing a contact reaction on the your hands. And yes, potatoes and tomatoes are both in the nightshade family. Good luck with the gastro appointment and tests. I hope you will check in on the forums to let us know how that goes.
