Lynnnowik, the device is not out yet -- the Wing website (click the blue letters to take you to their website) has some information about it and a place to sign up for news alerts. The blog says that they're hoping to release it in the fall. In the meantime, how can we help you with your asthma? I hope you'll join us on our Daily Roll Call "thread" on the forums -- it's a great way to get to know other folks who are managing asthma and get a little encouragement each day!
Hi Laura, We are contacting GlaxoSmithKline to get more information about this recall. In the meantime, call your pharmacy and/or doctor to ask them about getting a new inhaler. If they are unaware of the recall, let them know it was listed in the FDA Enforcement Report for the Week of December 16. It is a Class II recall that was initiated on December 3, 2015. We will update our blog and Facebook page as soon as we have more information. Thank you!
Good point, Peach! In years past, during our Easter service, our congregation was encouraged to purchase Easter lilies to honor the memory of a loved one.
What an incredible way to honor your beautiful son's life. Meredith, I am so inspired by your courage and strength to use this tragedy to bring awareness to others. You are one amazing mom. Thank you for sharing Austin's story, and yours. Blessings to your family as you work to protect the lives of other children with asthma in his honor.
Meredith, The MyHope4Austin organization is a wonderful way to honor your son’s kind and generous heart. Thank you for sharing your family’s story with us and for your work to increase asthma awareness and education in the community. Gratefully, Brenda
Kathy, this is awesome. We wish you the very best, training and on the day of the ride. And you can bet not only that we'll be donating in your honor; we'll be rooting for you all the way.
I am really upset about these standards for pollution. I just read an article today called " EPA admits new emissions plan could lead to 1,400 premature deaths a year AUG 21, 2018 6:12 PM EDT U.S. BY JASON SILVERSTEIN / CBS NEWS : "A 289-page EPA report released Tuesday provides details on the impact of the Trump administration's Affordable Clean Energy rule, which would reverse Obama-era cuts to power plant carbon pollution. The EPA acknowledges that the proposed plan is expected to...
I've been using something similar for a couple years now and it has really helped me keep on track with my meds and sends a report so that I can see how often I use my rescue inhaler.
I spoke with a representative at AAFA in December 2018. Although she said that AAFA has brought the perspectives of people with dander-sensitive disabilities to the Department of Transportation (DOT) (because the airline industry doesn't have to honor our ADA rights), AAFA does not, from what I can locate, seem to be doing any serious, aggressive public campaigns on our behalf. You are correct that AAFA seems to be primarily focused on food allergies; they also hide behind arbitrary "air...
Thank you for sharing! I think you are doing amazing advocating for yourself and making changes in your home and work life, gaining support from your friends, family, and coworkers along the way (even though it can be hard at times). I am so thankful to hear your stories on Daily Roll Call thread and hear how you find accomodations and work through problems because it helps me and makes me feel less alone in this.
While Georgia didn't make the honor roll list, I was pleased to see that many of the items on the check list were things that my DD's school already does.
I've been using a sensor put out by Propeller that does nearly the same thing and have really enjoyed it. I get a report each month showing my usage. The only thing it doesn't offer is the comparison of my inhaler technique.
