Even went to Cleveland Clinic Cough Clinic. Cough would never stop. Tried all drugs prescribed. Did test for gerd twice. DiD Everything and was compliant. Been going to salt suite near me for past 3 weeks- hour and half day and I HEAR the silence of not coughing ALL the time and lungs feel not as tight. No other changes so I'm sticking to it.

File CommentAwesome! Both of my kids played wind instruments (trumpet and bass clarinet). It seemed to help with their asthma. Is he in a marching band? My kids were and would have issues with evening shows being outside all day.

Blog Post Comment❤️While I know that I am in the tiny percentage of the population who has a strong negative reaction to the Methacholine Challenge test, I want to offer one caveat. About six years ago, I had chronic cough and my doctor thought I might have asthma so he had me take the Methacholine Challenge test. Taking the test turned my, as yet unknown, asthma into moderate-to-severe persistent asthma. Hope no one else has this experience but it is something to consider.

Blog Post CommentI contacted my insurance company, Tufts, very happy that finally there is a generic Advair cost includes a $400 deductible per year then each discus is about $150. Not surprisingly, they told me that the generic isn't available on my plan. Ya. And if I wanted to, I could ask for an exception so that it's avaiable on my plan. Then, if it's approved it's TIER FIVE. The brand name Advair is tier four. So Tufts would charge me even more for the generic, IF they approved it for my plan. I've...

File CommentGrayson will be 3 at the end of July and we tend to take it easy with him. He started out breaking out in hives just being around the horses but has slowly built up a tolerance thankfully. He has his rescue inhaler that is always with us as well as his Epi-Pens for emergencies (he not only has environmental allergies but anaphylactic food allergies as well and was born with a PFO that hasn’t closed). If your son is not running a fever it very well could just be an asthma flare. I hope he is feeling better? The best thing you can do is to make sure both your children take their asthma medications as directed. Do they have asthma action plans? Keep them at home as much as possible, wipe down surfaces with disinfectant wipes, wash hands often and keep them from touching their faces.

They are with grandparents for a couple days while we make sure our home is disinfectant really good. They are already on top with the washing of the hands and using hand sanitizer.
