This is very interesting and, in terms of allergies and irritated nasal passages, I have read on numerous sites that diluted forms of certain essential oils (very diluted) can actually reduce the dust mite population in the laundry on clothes, on bedding, and even on furniture (versus using a product such as "Endust" which has chemicals). By chance have any essential oil companies (e.g. Do Terra) reached out to have some of their products or essential oils to see (when diluted and safer/not...
I have asthma. This morning I went to a friend’s home and they had their essential oils diffuser on. I don’t know which essential oil they were using, but within 5 minutes of breathing it my lungs felt like they were on fire and I couldn’t breath. Once I got outside I started to improve. I had to use albuterol because I was still struggling to breathe. I’ve always heard positive things about essential oils, but after doing a little research today, I’ve decided not to diffuse them in my home.
I think it is ridiculous and insolent that our rescue inhalers were changed from cold-blast to HFAs over a decade ago to "prevent CFCs" from entering the atmosphere. Now, our rescue inhalers are being potentially attacked again, while the most obvious and gargantuan polluters, the military and the agricultural and oil industries, are allowed to continue their practices on a global scale. The diminutive puffs from inhalers, most of which end up inside of our lungs, represent but a tiny...

Hi, the article was so useful to me. I have a question I'll be thankful if you answer." Is it okay to use creamy soaps for my hand eczema? I'm not sure if they can kill the new Corona virus as they includes lot of moisturizer and oil. I'll be thankful for your answer in advanced.
My husband has adult-onset asthma and controls it with daily medication, however, I am still concerned what would happen to him if he contracted coronavirus, since I've seen him battle numerous sinus infections and suffer considerably. He is a college instructor and is exposed to many people on a daily basis. I do not have asthma, but also want to avoid becoming ill so I don't infect him, so we are both on a daily vitamin regimen of immune-boosting vitamins, including D3, C, fish oil, B2,...
Hi Candace, thanks for your comprehensive reply. I think it's a smart move to boost your immune system with supplements, fruits and veggies. Since my husband also has a history of illness (though related to the pancreas), he spent a lot of time researching supplements and we are well-equipped I believe. Concerning the number of infections: I'm based in Germany and referring to the situation here. Indeed, chancellor Merkel herself admitted today that 60-70% of Germans will be infected: ...
Hi! thanks for sharing your tips on how your and husband stay healthy. Just a precaution, people should always check with their health care provider before starting any supplements or even vitamins to make sure they will not interfere with current medications. Eating a healthy diet and exercising are great strategies to staying healthy throughout the year. Again, talking to a health care provider to ensure diet and exercise are safe is recommended. Grape juice contains a lot of sugar, so...
You have to be careful to ask how your food would be prepared: contact with surfaces that have been used with known allergens, oils used in preparation, etc. I was recently on Maui and every restaurant was so accommodating and helpful. They seemed to really be informed and up to date wit’s procedures. Some of these were higher end restaurants, but still….

Hi there, I have started to show signs of oral allergy syndrome, itchiness in mouth and lips when eating avocado, almonds and peanut butter. In the last 2 days I’ve noticed when eating things with rapeseed oil (canola oil) I’m having the same symptoms along with a feeling of pressure in my sinuses and throat. Could this be a sign of oral allergy syndrome?
