@Tia74 and @AllergyKid2006 - it looks like these types of devices are not currently covered by insurance. At least one existing device has a program to provide them free for patients who qualify. So, I think it will be a wait and see to know how this one will be priced or if there will be a patient assistance program.
Been taking it since the early 2000s around when it first became available. Stopped for a few years between 2012 and 2014 and started taking it again in 2015. I've experienced every single side effect. With the amount of things I've gone through that im not willing to type, I'm glad I'm still alive. Though I cannot reasonably say it is solely due to this drug.
I've been on Singulair/Montelukast since its creation in 1998. I've experienced all these horrible symptoms and its egregious that patients were allowed to suffer for decades. I just recently asked my doctor if I could remove myself from this medication due to the black box warning. It's a shame no one else noticed the parallel symptoms of major depression and asthma.
Side effects of any Rx - medication is concerning to me as I have documented drugs that I have worse side effects to. Montelukast Rx I've been taking for about 2 yrs for allergic asthma, also, inhaler, nebulizer treatments, for when my allergic asthma is at worse of pollen season. I also use hepa air filters, change filter on my A/C, protective covers on my pillows, mattresses. To date, I've not had bad side effects to Montelukast. However, back in 1988, my allergic asthma was really bad,...
@Mrcurlydad and @katalinfrog - sorry to hear you experienced so many side effects. @Whippetartist - thanks for share your story as well. And, yes, it's important to talk with your doctor if you are experiencing side effects to any medicine.
Good news! My sister, my 91 yrs mom & myself, have made appts at our local Walgreen's pharmacy to get the COVID-19 booster shot. So important as the COVID-19 variants are circulating currently in FL with increased seasonal visitors.
Please consider immunization if you haven’t yet received your shot. There are a lot of rumors and disinformation floating on the web and social media. If you have questions or fears, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist!
Hello Natalie - this is what I found from the FDA fact sheet regarding Paxlovid. Adverse reactions from the clinical studies were dysgeusia (altered taste), diarrhea, hypertension, and myalgia (muscle aches).
