Been taking it since the early 2000s around when it first became available. Stopped for a few years between 2012 and 2014 and started taking it again in 2015. I've experienced every single side effect. With the amount of things I've gone through that im not willing to type, I'm glad I'm still alive. Though I cannot reasonably say it is solely due to this drug.
Hello @Ingrid and welcome! There are certain antibiotics like tetracycline that, when given to children during the early years of tooth development, can cause browning of the teeth . This is not an allergy to the medicine. Tetracycline is now not given to kids under 8 because of this effect on their teeth. Here is more information on drug allergies .
Hi Chrisine454545 and welcome to the AAFA community! Pharmacy tiers and generic drug prices can be really confusing. The GSK version of albuterol is an authorized generic for Ventolin which means that it can be substituted when a doctor prescribes Ventolin and doesn't check the "fill as written" box. The generic won't say Ventolin on it because that is a brand name inhaler (drug + device). It will be labeled as albuterol sulfate. As for the price, this article is from 2019 so I would expect...
CVS is selling this generic albuterol from GSK as a Preferred Brand Name Tier 3 drug to Medicare patients. Same copay as Advair! The box has no brand name on it. GSK says Prasco is distributing it and they set the prices. According to the article in AAFA the authorized generic has a list price of less than $36. The copay CVS/Aetna is charging to Silverscript Smart RX patients is $46!!! More than list price. CVS is claiming it is Ventolin, but that is not on the package because it is a...
Oh my gosh... I just read more of this--and it is Peter rabbit and his friends shooting blackberries into Mr McGregor's mouth on purpose to cause him anaphalaxis. How in the universe did this movie get made?!?! That deserves more than an apology... I mean like they need to run an educational ad before and after the movie in theaters and on DVD. I am boycotting it and I am mad--and I think an ad may help me be a little less mad... because I swear if some kid dies because of bullying because...
Wow, That is not nice. That is something serious and should not be seen in a joking matter. I agree a ad talking about the seriousness of that seen should have been included after the movie.
Thank you for this summary. Such important initiatives to Champion! Pets/ESA/manipulative use of animal in public use business spaces by the public and animal owners in AIRLINERS (especially closed spaces) and event store/shop/retail/restaurant space businesses. Has been long, long, overdue. This has been extremely harmful for the disability population as we have seen. An application of service animal needed to be made OR ENFORCED. By large business associations and large companies, only way...
We agree with you, lori 1022. The problem spans all aspects of life: education, housing, work, transportation, medical care, recreation and basic activities of daily living. We need laws to protect people who are allergic and/or anxious, as there is direct discrimination even in the laws that are written. People are taking their dogs everywhere, because first the legal system allowed them to, and then it became socially acceptable. The media has become an enormous partner in the problem,...
