I would just like to say I have been diagnosed with asthma along with copd and early stage emphysema.... I have never smoked but have lived with smokers during my childhood... their smoking has condemned me to a certain outcome of death... i have gotten bronchitis every year for the past 35 years, walking pneumonia and whooping cough..... pollen aggravates my allergies and I have not slept more then 4 to 5 hours a night because of the coughing for the past 5 years..why do i have to pay the...
I think this is a great topic, and National Healthy School Days is a great way to educate children, parents, teachers, and the community on asthma and allergies. I think it would be worth noting the studies on second-hand dander and how it significantly affects children with asthma and allergies in schools (i.e. the study thst shows the more cat owners in classroom there are, the worse prognosis with kids with allergies and asthma). I think having individual lockers outside classrooms for...
Ironmom316, that us not cool I have seen dogs in my allergist office waitingvroom that are service dogs and I am like(to staff)--this is an allergist office waiting room and they wete like, well you can wait outside (to me). I went to a different allergist after that. If you cannot get a policy addressed correctly, switching out is always an option. I am super-allergic to dander and it developed into a serious chronic allergic disease after regularly being around dander that caused danage to...
So, if I fill out the form you send in a request to keep the AFA for me, with my information? No way! I didn't know the AAFA was a liberal site. I thought you were a neutral non-profit. I know more working people now without insurance because of the AFA. I now pay $1323.00 a month in premiums for a family of three. I used to pay half that. I personally hope and pray we find a better plan than the AFA. It's driving costs up and insurance companies out of business. The first year the US HAD...
If you are allergic to cats or dogs and own one: "It should be recommended that the animal be removed from the patient's environment, as avoidance is believed to be the most effective measure for the management of dog and cat allergy." Hi Sillysally.. Yes these comments on this particular post pop out reverse than the others with the oldest comment at the bottom and the newer ones at the top. It confused me too because I made that cat/dog comment a while back before your comments. Awesome on homemade products! I usually buy 7th Generation products or use vinegar water with a few drops of essential oils. If you ever want to share your cleaning recipes, Id love to hear them! I am really trying to keep up on all my cleaning...
Hi, SillySally! Welcome to AAFA's online community! We have several members who struggle with the same things you do, and they have great ideas ... you can start a new topic with your excellent questions. Or you can find older discussion "threads" where people have already talked about how they manage these triggers.

Yeah, the default on blog comments is "newest" first. But you can change that for yourself. There is an option between the reply box and the start of the comments to change how they are ordered:

These topics (or "threads" -- why they're called threads, I have no clue!) may help you out ... just click the topic title below, and it should take you to where people have been discussing it in the past. Hi, Jima and welcome! I'll be sending you a private message to connect with you. In the meantime, AAFA has some easy steps for how everyone can take a stand during the month of May for people living with asthma and allergies .
I've been using a sensor put out by Propeller that does nearly the same thing and have really enjoyed it. I get a report each month showing my usage. The only thing it doesn't offer is the comparison of my inhaler technique.
