Bleah, I hate to double post, but apparently it's been too long to edit since I was going back over the article to make sure I didn't miss anything. At any rate, just off the top of my head, I notice the following issues with this study (given the information presented in the blog; mayhaps the actual study addresses these?): 1) Number of participants: 223 2) The study was entirely self-report -- no control groups, no accounting for bias, wasn't double-blind, etc. etc. The article makes it...

The Q&A states that data indicates no higher mortality risk for people that have asthma and contract COVID-19. worldometers web site provides statistics that suggest asthma suffers mortality rates as follows: Condition: Chronic respiratory disease Death Rate Confirmed Cases: 8.0% Death Rate All Cases: 6.3% There are two sources they use that provide age, sex, and morbidity statistics: The Report of the WHO-China Joint Mission published on Feb. 28 by WHO, [ 2 ] which is based on 55,924...

My mom recently saw something on TV where a doctor at a hospital said they'd stopped giving those treatments in hospital because it somehow made it easier for the virus to attack the lungs. This is secondhand from her, as I was not able to see the same report. What can you tell me with regard to folks who use these nebulizer...
It seems from the information that I've read about COVID-19, the virus is highly unpredictable; symptoms and outcomes vary widely, depending on the strength of each individual's immune system, comorbidities, and age. Physicians and researchers are still uncovering many details of how the virus affects different patient populations, and they learn new information every day. They report that some with underlying conditions survive the virus, while many others die, which is why health experts...
Welcome, @GilbertoF . It's good to have you here in the AAFA community. An interesting question! Your report lists sensitivity to the pollens of English plantain, ragweed, and goosefoot. That has nothing to say about whether you are allergic to cannabis pollen, something rare in any location, I think. As 'Ask the Allergist' says above, allergy to marijuana is possible but more likely connected to smoking it.
