Just yesterday at dr appt I walked 3 flight of stairs, I avoid elevators, & by the time I reached floor of dr office I was so out of breath & heart beating so fast. It took few minutes to feel normal. I am out of shape so if in shape I wouldn’t have felt as bad but without mask I know I wouldn’t feel so out of breath Also mondays the only day I work in office, I wear mask all day & takes me some time in morning to not breathe so hard/not practically hyperventilate. Most Monday’s...
okay just a question but how do you all figure that people with asthma do not get shortness of breath? I know tons of people with it ,including myself and we all get shortness of breath! this is not a correct statement to say people with asthma seasonal allergies etc do not get short of breath , because we in fact do. honestly the symptoms of Covid-19 are so vague it is scary for people with lung issues because we have those symptoms often except for fever, and for me with lupus etc (and...
what bothers me also is that and that this chart said that we do not get shortness of breath with seasonal allergies and that is just not truth! I have been in an asthma group for ten years and I know several of the people and they all get shortness of breathe like I do with seasonal allergies.
More testing and measurements is needed as soon as possible. Some of us have severe "shortness of breath" inside public facilities like urgent care and Costco if we touch Clorox disinfecting wipes without gloves. Who is measuring VOC levels in NY VS CA. Look at COVID-19 Deaths in CA Vs NYC? #Cleanairmatters #MeasureVOCS/QACS
I keep finding conflicting recommendations from places online about whether or not those with asthma or other breathing issues should wear a face covering. Normally, my asthma is mostly just set off by mold or the heat (or both, because mold is a real **** when it gets hot and humid outside), but since becoming pregnant, it's just been all around bad and hard to breathe in general. I try to minimize the amount I use my inhaler, but all of the disinfectants in use haven't been helping any,...
Hello, I have asthma. Should asthma people wear masks? I have to go back to school soon and we all have to wear masks. Masks bother me, because it makes it hard to breath and starts to make me have an attack. I hope, I don’t have to even thought it is a lot of exposure. Thanks
I have asthma, severe asthma, all my life. Recently, I was diagnosed with allergies; environmental and food allergies. Both are no fun to have because one might not be triggered but the other does and vise versa. I've read comments on here about wearing a mask and I've also read on this website about wearing a mask isn't bad for asthmatic people. Let me tell you, I don't need Science to tell me, I don't need the CDC, Dr. Fauci and the WHO to tell me that mask works because...IT DOES NOT...
Side effects of any Rx - medication is concerning to me as I have documented drugs that I have worse side effects to. Montelukast Rx I've been taking for about 2 yrs for allergic asthma, also, inhaler, nebulizer treatments, for when my allergic asthma is at worse of pollen season. I also use hepa air filters, change filter on my A/C, protective covers on my pillows, mattresses. To date, I've not had bad side effects to Montelukast. However, back in 1988, my allergic asthma was really bad,...
I agree with Belle. When schools, hospitals or Any building uses scent devices (like scent beams, Glade, febreeze, scented floor cleaning products, scented hand sanitizer, scented carpet cleaner, scented soap) it becomes a barrier for those of us who have reactions to the chemicals in those fragrances. (those with chemical induced asthma, migraines, COPD, learning disabilities, dementia). The list is endless as to how many people are affected by the undisclosed chemicals that chemical...
I have allergies and asthma. Reading a real human story like this helps remind me to keep up that constant preparation no matter how good or bad I am feeling, for both myself, and also for my son who has food allergies. I carry a large backpack purse (sometimes I put it in a rolling bag because it is so heavy). It has all our emergency medicines in it. It has gotten heavier over the years because I want to be prepared and have my inhalers (I always carry a backup of each), our epipens, an...
As being allergic and asthmatic person just wanted to know why there is continue runny nose due to climate change that u can't even take normal breath. Ur cloths get wet because of runny nose that flow is like running tap but funny things is that u can't close that tap. What kind of symptoms these are?
Asthma is more serious than what people are aware of. Most people I speak to think Asthma is not a disease and can't be that bad...not being able to breath is a major health issue and very scary for people with Asthma. Nit being able to live an active life or do things you love to do because of a disease holding you back physically is life shattering for so many, Asthma is no different.
